It´s Glam it Up Monday!

Yay!

Todays hair is a result of sleeping with curlers, apparantly putting them in the wrong way because I looked nothing like I usually do, and then having to pin it up to make it look half decent.

I took the hair from the front sides and pinned it across on the top, then I lightly backcombed the back hair and split it in two three sections. I rolled the sections up and pinned them loosely.

It looks a bit messy, but it´s far better than what it did.

So, for my eyemakeup I first applied a thin layer of ArtDeco Eyshadow Primer, a primer that both brings out the colour in the eyeshadow, fix it and makes it waterresistant. So no smudging throuout the day!

The shadows I´ve been playing with is from a brand called Gosh, the palletts name is 9 Shadows to Play with in Vegas, it´s this great value pallette with bright bright colours, really suitable for the younger generation, but hey, nothing wrong with mum playing around with either.

To create this blue greenish eyelook I smoked out some dark blue in the outer corner of my eye and then proceeded to apply a light turqoise colour to the middle of my eyelid. To create the yellowish green I mixed babyblue and bright yellow, yes, the colours can be mixed!

On my lower eyelid I mirrored the eyeshadow on the top.

The eyeliner I used is my favorite Flex Tip Eyeliner from Isadora, and the mascara is L´Oreals new False Lash Superstar Mascara.

For my brows I´ve used Maybeline Brow Satin.

For the rest of my face I´ve used L´Oreal Infalible 24-hour Matte Foundation on my upper forehead, under my cheeckbones and on the sides of my nose. The reason I used it only here is because it´s one shade too dark for me, which makes it great as a light contour base. Also, because it´s matte it´s got noe shine, which I don´t want when contouring.

On my forehead, nose, cheeckbones/underneath my eyes and chin I used Maybeline Fit Me 110. I then added some bronzer underneath my cheeckbones and some blusher on my cheekbones.

Since the Fit Me isn´t matte it can look a bit shiny and also it can move during the day, so I fixed the makeup with Bare Minerals Mineral Veil which is a mattifying and fixing powder that also makes your skin look like it´s made out of silk. I love this powder!

And that was my monday look! Over to Sian <3

This week my “Glam it up” is more of a “fake it ´til you make it”. My lovely kids refused to sleep last night so I am incredibly tired. On top of that I have not been feeling very well and it is showing in my hair and skin. Normally I was my hair once a week and that is enough but today (hair washing day was yesterday) my hair is like an oil slick and my skin is just as bad. Perfect really, I have a Skype meeting with a client later so time to make myself look human!

Step one, do ANYTHING with my hair as long as there is volume. Between my husband and my daughter I cannot find a single bobby pin so I have a selection of different clips from my daughters hair collection, including a frozen one. My hair is at that terrible in between style stage. I had an undercut which I am growing out and I desperately need to do something about my roots. (and greys)

Now throw makeup at my face and hope it works. It is quite heavy foundation for me today but that is just because of how bad my skin is. I used Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation in 115, which is way too pale for me, mixed with MAC NC20 which is way to dark. I really need to get to the makeup store to replace my empties.

On my eyes I am wearing Illamasqua Liquid metal in “Resolute” and set with Anita Grant Mineral Eyeshadow in “Dragon Fruit”. I am not wearing any mascara as I still feel my eyes a re a little bit “leaky” after the allergic reaction so I am trying to keep eye makeup to a minimum. On my lips I have Rouge Dior Couture Colour Voluptuous Care Lipstick in “

The light sucks here today, it is cloudy, grey and tipping with rain so apologies for the photographs. I´m using The Balm “Bahama Mama” to contour, Nilens Jord Blush “704” and Too Faced “Candlelight Glow” highlighter (only the white gold side)

My brows as always the super fancy and super expensive 17 pencil, set with a little number 10 from my Sonia Kashuk Eye On Neutral Palette. They have started selling Anastasia Brow Pomade at my local makeup shop! As soon as I get my butt down there I will be penniless but the owner of wonderful products.

And the last step in the fake being human routine is to pull a silly face and drink a HUGE cup of black coffee.

No wait I lied, the last step is intact to make sure that my daughter has lipstick or she will spend the entire day hunting down my makeup bag in search of “made cup” as she calls it. I offered her the one I was wearing but she insisted on bright pink. Mini Honey is wearing Bodyography Electric Lip Slide in “Cheeky Baby”, what an appropriate name!

Now I am off to make that call before the Tiny Honey wakes up!
